Welcome to Ready Set MailChimp for Bloggers!

Welcome to the Course!

This course is for bloggers who are new to MailChimp and want to grow their email list.

Each module is based on the previous module, so please do the course in order (this is especially true for the creating optins module. You must watch the 2-step optin lesson before the other lessons in that module.)

This course will show you how you can have one master list using MailChimp with the aid of a free service/WordPress plugin (MailMunch). Traditionally, MailChimp works with multiple lists, making it very challenging for a blogger to set up multiple freebies. In the end, you are paying for the same subscriber multiple times if they sign up to your multiple freebies.

With one list, I show you how to use MailMunch and your optins to create a tagging system based on MailChimp's groups. Doing this makes this setup similar to ConvertKit and other email service providers. And this means you can start growing your email list by providing multiple freebie optins on your blog (and not pay for a subscriber twice).

Finally, this course will help you increase your deliverability for your emails to hit the inbox. MailChimp is known for not hitting the inbox and their emails typically go to Spam, Junk Mail or Gmail's Promotions (not as bad as Spam...but not ideal).

But, a lot of this is because of MailChimp's default templates most bloggers use for their emails. We have created a custom email template to help increases the chances that each subscriber will receive your email in their inbox. Once I switched over from MailChimp's default template to a custom one...the difference was night and day. It's like a switch was turned on, immediately sending my emails to the Inbox rather than promotions!

Even if you are already using MailChimp I encourage you check out the module Your Way Around MailChimp. There are lessons on verifying and authenticating your domain that are important to help aid in building your email reputation and increasing your deliverability.

Enjoy the course and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to email me!
